Happy, Happy Birthday Brenty dear....

Today is my husband's birthday. I just wanted to let everyone know how much I love him and how much I appreciate him. He is seriously the best husband and father I could ever ask for, and he does spoil me way too much (just ask my mom). He is so kind, and thoughtful, and funny and I just love being with him and I am so glad that I will be able to be with him forever. I especially wanted to do this post because I have been a GROUCH lately, and poor Brent puts up with it. Not only does he put up with it, but he try's to make me feel better!!! Even though my grouchiness has nothing to do with him, he will still do anything to snap me out of it. So thanks baby for being the BEST husband EVER... I love you so much and hope you have a wonderful birthday. I'm so grateful that you were born!! ha ha.

Tate's walking!!

Yes, a miracle has happened. Tate has actually decided that he will walk. It's pretty cute cuz he's still a little unstable on his legs and he gets pretty excited so he starts going fast then he'll usually fall down. I would post video of it on here, but I don't have any!!! why, you ask? Well for one,we don't have a video camera. And two, I'm just lazy and havn't gotten out the camera to record it on that. so sorry. Another BIG milestone today: Jackson got his hair cut with only a minor meltdown!!! Hallelujah, maybe in another 4 years he will get it done with no crying at all!!! Is that too much to hope for?

My Birthday Extravaganza!!!

So I know I left a lot of you hanging in anticipation of my birthday blog.... but my computer is broken!!! I shouldn't say broken, it is DEAD. So I am without pictures, and I debated over whether it would be worth it to post about my birthday without the pictures.... but its been a while since I updated, and maybe if we ever get a new computer (right now I am using my husbands work laptop which I am extremely grateful for, although it does put a damper on my blog obsession since I don't have a computer to use during the day) I will go back and add a few pics. Just a little background info...last year I turned the big 3-0 and instead of whooping it up like we should have been, I was in labor!!!! Not hard labor, I didn't go to the hospital until 10 pm, but it was enough to put a damper on the birthday celebration. We went to market street grill which I had heard GREAT things about and I was actually kind of disappointed, I don't know if it was just because I couldn't concentrate on the food since we were busy timing contractions!!! So this year, I lovingly suggested to Brent that we make up for it!!! And being the extremely thoughtful, amazing, wonderful husband that he is, HE DID!!! It started on the Friday before my birthday (a week before), he came home early from work so that I was able to go and get an eyebrow wax (SOOOOOO needed!!) and a pedicure from the Garden Day Spa. Then on Saturday morning he made breakfast, then asked me if I wanted to go to Park City that day. When I asked why, (I was a little surprised) he said that he thought it would be good for the kick off to SHANNA'S BIRTHDAY EXTRAVAGANZA!! (no lie, those words really did come out of his mouth!) Then for the rest of the days leading up to my birthday, he would give me a present. (And on Valentines day he had a bouquet of flowers delivered (I LOOOOOOOVE delivered flowers, I know, their pricey but I love it!) and another one the next day for my birthday!!! It was amazing!!! And then on Saturday I was able to go to lunch with my girlfriends, which was so much fun and hugely appreciated, thanks girls!!! All in all, it was a very good week!!! thanks honey, I love you!!! (and now I don't feel so bad about turning 31!!!)

Happy Birthday Tater Baby!!!

My baby turned one today. It's kind of sad for me, but at least he's not walking yet so I can still pretend that he's still a baby!!! He sure did love his cake...


and his presents from all his aunts and uncles that came to celebrate with him...

we have a really good family!!!! and we love you baby boy!!!

A Moment of Silence.....

We need to take a moment and recognize that the one bright shining hope for our country has pulled his hat out of the ring. Mitt, you will be missed.

My husband always says that if you don't exercise your constitutional right by voting, then you're not allowed to complain. But since legally, I don't have my constitutional right to vote YET, and since this is my blog, I can say what I want. So, if by some chance that Hillary Clinton becomes the next president of the United States, then I'm uprooting my family, selling my house, my husband will quit his job and we're heading to the great white north!!! Because, my friends, Canada will become the next powerhouse of the world, once Ms. Clinton has run America into the ground.

Happy February!!!!

I don't know about the rest of you but I sure am glad that January is over!!! It's so nice to be one month closer to spring. And right now, I'm not even wishing for spring-like weather, just 40 degree weather would be nice. And the sun shining so we could get rid of all the snow!!! I guess you can tell I'm not a skier... although I'd like to be one... maybe next years resolution. and speaking of resolutions, can I just say how much I hate my treadmill right now? When is this supposed to get easier??? and when am I supposed to start "loving" it??? If all the runners out there could please let me know!!!
